Hi all I have been tasked with setting up a remote connection from a users mac to his office computer, the office has no server or domain, just a bunch of workgroup computers. So far I've setup a port redirection on the router which has worked and the computer is accessible via windows rdp just fine but when it comes to setting up the mac version I'm a little stuck. All the settings have been configured apart from the gateway, I'm trying it with 'no gateway configured' option but keep getting the error 'Unable to connect to the remote PC, please verify Remote Desktop is enabled, pc is turned on.' So obviously all of this is configured as it is accessible via another windows computer.

Note for the username either try it as just the username or computername username e.g. PC01 john.smith Yeah I completely understand the reasons not to use it, we are as the user desperately needed access quickly and for a temporary time. User could not operate team viewer successfully so we resorted to this temporary measure.
